Parking:

The City of Rockville issues parking permits for City streets throughout King Farm and enforces parking violations, handles resident complaints (regarding parking), and conducts inspections for parking violations.

Street parking requires parking permits and specific parking lots in the community also require parking permits. The KFCA Staff will continue to work with residents to filter complaints regarding parking violations to the City, but ultimately is the residents’ responsibility to report and respond to violations to the City.

The RockView Program:

This program allows RCPD to quickly identify security cameras that may have captured criminal activity when a crime is reported nearby and can help keep you and your community safer.

If you have a home video security system (Ring, Nest, etc.), you can register your camera with Rockville City Police

Registration in the RockView Program is voluntary, free, and does not enable law enforcement to view camera footage without an owner’s permission. However, the RockView program will allow city police to quickly identify security cameras that may have captured criminal activity when a crime is reported nearby. Once a camera is identified, police will contact the owner and ask if they would examine the date and time in question for potential leads in the investigation. The owner may accept or deny the request for assistance. If the owner accepts, and their equipment captured pertinent information, police would arrange a convenient way to retrieve the information.

Information provided to the RCPD about camera systems will be for official police use only. Owners’ personal information will not be distributed except as required by law or court order. Information submitted may be disclosed if requested per the Maryland Public Information Act.

Phone: 311 or 240-777-0311; 240-314-8330
Online: montgomerycountymd.gov/dep/noise

The Montgomery County Noise Control Law
is Chapter 31B of the County Code. The Noise Control Law promotes a more restful, pleasant environment throughout the County by establishing common-sense guidelines for residents and businesses. It also provides remedies, including corrective orders, fines, and criminal penalties.

Per the Montgomery County Guidelines for Good Neighbors:

Many noise problems can be resolved through the same methods used to solve other disputes. Tactful person-to-person communication is a good way to start.

Each of us can play a part in reducing noise levels and being a good neighbor:

  • Monitor the volume of televisions, radios, and other sound-producing equipment, especially during “quiet hours.” Pay particular attention to bass controls.
  • Avoid using power tools in your home, garage, or outdoors during “quiet hours.”
  • Check central and window air conditioning units periodically to ensure that they are operating as quietly as possible.
  • Take good care of pets. Dogs left outside all day are likely to bark and disturb neighbors at home.
  • Make sure your family and guests comply with “quiet hours.”
  • In multi-tenant settings, avoid performing noisy domestic activities, like operating appliances and exercise equipment or moving furniture during “quiet hours.”
