Food Truck Friday Night |
It’s Food Truck Friday! Trippy Tacos returns to King Farm tonight, parked outside the Saddle Ridge Community Center (300 Saddle Ridge Circle) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. As always, be sure to wear your mask and socially distance while waiting for your orders. Upcoming Board & Committee Meetings |
Due to COVID-19, all King Farm meetings have been held virtually since last March. But now you can easily find the Zoom registration links to all the upcoming King Farm Board of Trustees Meetings and Committee meetings online. Visit https://kingfarm.org/zoom-meeting-links/ to register for any March meetings that interest you. To attend the Zoom meetings, you must register in advance. Each meeting will have an open forum for residents to ask questions or make comments. As part of the registration process, registrants must submit their contact information (name, street address, email, and phone number) and select yes or no if they would like to speak during open forum. If you would like to speak during open forum, please provide the topic you will be speaking about. **If you need assistance registering for a virtual meeting, please contact Management by phone (301) 987-0122 or by email at [email protected]. Meetings are for King Farm Titleholders and Citizens only. Registrants will be verified to ensure participants are titleholders/citizens. Virtual Jukebox Bingo Night |
Spaces remain for our first-ever adults-only Virtual Jukebox Bingo Night next Friday, March 12, 2021, from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This live interactive bingo experience will be held through the Zoom video conferencing system and is open for registration to all King Farm neighbors ages 21 and over. This bingo is not your typical number calling style, instead, guests will use their smartphone to mark their bingo cards by choosing the title or artist of the greatest hit songs you know and love through the years, played by our host DJ. You will need one device to log into the “Zoom room,” which will allow you to video chat with your neighbors, as well as a smartphone or tablet to access your bingo card, sorry only one card per person. Bingo winners will receive fun prizes! Space is limited to the first 65 people to register for a bingo card, so please e-mail [email protected] with the following information: name, address and how many adults will be playing in your household. Once your registration has been received, you will receive a personal link to access the Jukebox Bingo event. So, grab a glass of your favorite beverage and get ready to have a new kind of bingo night fun – jukebox style! |

Register Now for Spring Outdoor Fitness Classes |
The King Farm Citizens Assembly is excited to partner with Complete Physique for a well-rounded fitness class outdoors on the Saddle Ridge lawn at 300 Saddle Ridge Circle. All fitness levels will benefit from this class as individuals can set their own pace. Get in shape with a program that focuses on strength, functional and aerobic exercises. Some of the programs introduced will be High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), circuit training, cardiovascular station exercises, and some boxing/kickboxing. The class will involve a variety of exercise options – a real mix bag of offerings! So, come join the fun and work outside socially distanced from others. This six-week class will be held Tuesday evenings from 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm starting April 13th, 2021.

Amendment to Administrative Resolution #3 |
Administrative Resolution #3 (Vehicle Policies and Towing Procedures):
The Board is considering amending AR #3 regarding towing enforcements. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to send those to Management via email [email protected] or call (301) 987-0122. Proposed amendments to AR #3 will be discussed and voted on during the March 17, 2021 BOT meeting. You can view a copy of the proposed amendments under review on the King Farm website (https://kingfarm.org/draft-resolutions/) or download the file from the Internal Documents in the FrontSteps resident portal under the folder(s) 2. Governing Documents / 1 – Draft Resolutions. *If you do not have access to the resident portal, please contact Management for assistance or to obtain copies of these documents. |

Trash Reminders |
It has been brought to Management’s attention that residents are placing their home trash bags in the common area trash cans. If trash pickups are missed, please retain the trash for the next scheduled collection or take the trash to the Shady Grove Transfer Station. For where to drop off trash and recycling and hours of operation, visit their website https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/sws/dropoff/.
Management continues to receive complaints that residents are leaving their trash containers in the alley after collection day. Trash containers “…must be stored inside a garage, approved shed, or Living Unit on non-collection days.” Besides being unsightly, containers left out can impede traffic if they roll into the drive lane Please be aware that trash cans must be removed from the curb or alleyway and stored inside the garage, shed, or Living Unit within 24 hours after collection. King Farm Neighbors Village News |
The King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) is continuing its full March schedule with the following Zoom virtual events:
The monthly KFNV Book Club on March 11, 2021 from 12:30-2:15 pm, where the novel, The Last Flight by Julia Clarke will be discussed; and Coffee and Conversation on March 17 from 10:00 -11:30 am, where KFNV’s own Teresa Anderson and Susan Fullenbaum will lead a discussion on genealogy. Come find out who you are REALLY and where you come from with an informative and engaging discussion. Game Give Away The KFNV has the noncompetitive board game “Making Memories Together” for free distribution. This game was designed for the purpose of honoring and communicating with an older family member, and it includes the exercise of surveying favorite family photos. It is especially appropriate for those encountering the challenges of cognitive changes, and the game has earned first place in a competition focused on the use of art in health care. Community Resource Guide The KFNV has hard copies of the resource guide: It Takes a Community to Age Safely created by Elder Safe Center, a program of the Charles E. Smith Life Communities. Please contact the KFNV if you would like a copy. We do, however, accept and welcome donations; for these donations help defray the cost of KFNV services and events. Montgomery County COVID-19 Restrictions & Updates
Montgomery County reopened indoor dining at County restaurants on February 14, 2021 with a cap of 25% capacity. The following restrictions are still in effect in Montgomery County: • Indoor gatherings can no longer exceed 10 people. • Outdoor gatherings can no longer exceed 25 people. • Face masks must be worn at all times when outdoors (and social distance can’t be achieved); • and at all times inside public facilities.
